Gear mesh should be checked and adjusted anytime a gear is replaced. To set the gear mesh in an electric model, cut a narrow strip of notebook paper and run it into the gear mesh. Loosen the motor screws and slide the motor and pinion gear into the spur gear. Retighten the motor screws and then remove the strip of paper.

What ever fits with the smallest revo 3.3 mod 1 gears. I had the 38tooth spur and a 29tooth pinion on my stampede 4x4 with a mamba max pro and the 2400kv motor on 4s. Very much so a speed run and on road knly thing. Someone had asked if the 272r diff will fit an HR case. The answer is no. But the dragrace concepts diff will fit into the HR case.

Now about heating problems. My motor is reaching around 64.2c after a 20 minute run and my ESC is reaching around 31.1c after a 20 minute run also.
